LOMBOK – Finally the Provincial Minimum Wage for West Nusa Tenggara was established based on the Decree of the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara Number 561-793 of 2022 concerning the Provincial Minimum Wage for Province of West Nusa Tenggara 2022.

while at the meeting of the wage council, he continued recommending three options. the session was chaired directly by the Regional Secretary of West Nusa Tenggara Province Lalu Gita Ariadi as Chair of the Provincial Wage Council, attended by the entire Wage Council of West Nusa Tenggara Province consisting of Government Elements, Employers Elements, Trade Union Elements, and ElementsAcademics.
The first three options, proposals from the Indonesian Employers’ Association argue that the determination of the Minimum Wage for West Nusa Tenggara Province in 2023 will still use the formula according to PP 36 of 2021 which will result in an increase in the Provincial Minimum Wage of 5.38 percent or IDR 118,655. according to the Indonesian Employers’ Association, the Government Regulation is not repealed so that the existence of this proposal is more directed towards asking for legal certainty in workers’ wages. So that the Minimum Wage for West Nusa Tenggara Province in 2022 is Rp. 2,207,212 increased to IDR 2,325,868 in 2023.
“At trial we heard the proposal and it was set forth in the options,” he explained.
The second suggestion is from the trade/labor union that taking into account the economic situation and the purchasing power of workers proposes that the 2023 West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Minimum Wage be determined using the formula of Minister of Manpower Regulation 18 of 2022 according to national policy with an alpha value of 0.20or 20 percent which results in an increase in the Provincial Minimum Wage of 8.04% or Rp.177,416.
So that the 2023 West Nusa Tenggara Province Minimum Wage increases to IDR 2,384,628.
This minister of manpower regulation has actually been socialized which does not revoke Government Regulation 36 of 2021 but specifically for the calculation of the 2023 Provincial Minimum Wage it is adjusted and added to the formula according to conditions in each region adding one instrument namely employment opportunities and labor productivity. The aim is to reduce disparities, gaps between provincial minimum wages between regions by taking into account economic conditions and people’s purchasing power.
Government regulation number 36 of 2021 only regulates economic growth considerations, but in the Minister of Manpower Regulation number 18 of 2022 a special formulation is added to calculate employment opportunities and worker productivity in the regions.
Thirdly from the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government itself proposing the 2023 Provincial Minimum Wage taking into account Government Regulation number 36 of 2021 plus the real conditions of employment opportunities according to the release of the relevant Officer, where seeing the inflation rate is only 5.38 percent, the increase ishe proposed 7.44 percent.the amount of the 2023 Provincial Minimum Wage follows central government policy in accordance with Minister of Manpower Regulation 18 of 2022 with an alpha value of 0.10 or 10% which results in an increase in the Provincial Minimum Wage of 7.44% or IDR 164,195.(s)
