LOMBOK – A foreigner named Jawad Adrien Boosten, 33 years old, came all the way from Belgium to Lombok only to marry the girl he loves, Mauni Imran Ruslan, 35 years old from Batu Bintang Hamlet, Ranggagata Village, Southwest Praya District, Central Lombok. Mauni’s confession, that she knows her husband through the online dating application Muslimah.com, is her name. They know each other through the application at the end of 2022. Soon, they exchanged WA numbers to continue communicating. Even before leaving for Lombok, Jawad and Mauni made a video call.
“We only saw each other briefly, and were fully clothed because I happened to be in bed during a video call,” he told reporters, Saturday (18/2/2023).
As told by this honorary teacher, at first he also had doubts. Moreover, physically her husband is so handsome. Than their skin is different.
“He’s handsome, white is very unlikely to like me,” he said.
But he believes this is a soul mate, a man sent by God to him. He continued the story, on Wednesday (15/2/2023) he and his extended family picked up Jawad at Lombok Airport. When he went to the airport, his extended family came to pick him up.
“As soon as I left, I prostrated my gratitude to Allah because he really came safely. At first I was worried, because it took so long. Not to mention that, the family also keeps asking, where is he, where is he,” he said, telling about conditions at that time
Because the condition was not possible, said Mauni, Jawad and himself did not use public transport cars. They go by car. While other families still go home using public transport cars.
“But my husband came to Lombok to marry me, and I asked for it to be made lawful immediately. So that Thursday, we immediately got married at home,” he said again.
Added Mauni, that long ago he had been sent a ring made directly in his country. This means that this indicates the seriousness of Jawad to marry her.
“My husband’s profile is indeed looking for a woman whose religion is close to his. We never actually dated, just communicated briefly,” he said
Furthermore, said Mauni, she would follow her husband to Belgium to settle there. This decision is based on Islamic teachings, namely, the wife must follow her husband.
“We will have a two-night honeymoon at the hotel, God willing, as soon as possible,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jawad Adrien Boosten, who is a man of Moroccan blood, admits that he is very happy and feels that his life is complete at this time. He thanked his family for supporting his decision to marry the girl from Central Lombok.
